Day 4 Signings
New York : Minors Manager James Mateo, $600,000 per year, for 1 year.
Cleveland: Pitching Coach Stanton Lounsbury, $320,000 per year, for 1 year.
New York : Scout Leon Coniglio, $100,000 per year, for 5 years.

I think my last scout's contract was the same - 100K for 5 years. I'm surprised I haven't seen more of it.
I just bid something low. But it's comforting to know I can go lower.

I remembered Paul's $100K scout contract from the 2011 coach signing season when I was busy patting myself on the back for cagily lowering my scout's contract from $250K to $240K and wondered out loud how much lower I might be able to go.

As eager as I am to spend $5m on a coach, I'd love to see if I could get a scout to sign for $1. I always figured they wouldn't sign for less than a basic major league contract ($300k).
